A beautiful moment

“A Beautiful Moment” was written during a quiet pause in the middle of life’s usual rush. Standing at the edge of a cliff at dusk, I watched the last light soften the hills and plains below, and something in me slowed down too. In that fading glow, I felt a gentle reminder of how easily we forget to breathe, to reflect, to simply exist without hurry.

This poem is my attempt to capture that stillness—the kind that asks us to step back from all we chase and question whether the stress and struggle are worth the pieces of ourselves we give away. Sometimes the world feels heavy, but a moment like this—a silent horizon, a soft dusk—can show us what truly matters. It’s a reminder to pause, look within, and find ourselves again.

Capturing the fainting lights of the dusk,
Parked at the edge of the cliff,
Where a clear view of the horizons,
The rolling hills, and plains
Are visible to visitors,
If I should stop and gaze at,
It’s a perfect halt.

If I ain’t got time for, this
Where should I spend, my time
Instead of chasing wealth and stress,
Take a pause, O’ Restless beings
Capture the shadows, of self
Ponder on life’s spent
Was it worth the chase, the stress.

For in this quiet hour,
The world softens its voice,
And the heart learns to breathe again.
Moments like these remind us
That peace is found not in achievement,
But in awareness—
In watching the sky dim gently
And feeling the earth hold still beneath our feet.

Let the fading light whisper to you
Of all the joys you overlooked,
Of all the dreams you buried under hurry.
Stay a little longer,
Let the silence heal what noise has taken.
Sometimes, a single pause
Can teach more than a lifetime of running.

This poem explores the deep stillness that can only be felt when we step away from the constant race of life. The cliff at dusk becomes a metaphor for pause—a place where the world quiets down and our inner voice becomes clear again.

A single moment of stillness can reveal truths that years of rushing never could.
