🍉 Nature’s Bounty

🍃 A summer’s basket,
Guavas of different shapes —
Round ones, shy ones,
Some with freckles, some plain.

🌸 We’d wash them by the well,
Laughing as the water splashed,
The air smelled sweet and green,
And sticky hands were never scolded.

🌿 Juice dripped down our chins,
Seeds we spat toward the sky,
Pretending they’d grow by morning —
A secret forest just for us.

🌻 How rich the world once seemed,
With nothing but a guava tree,
A basket, and the sun —
And time enough to dream.
